Ripple effect tea table by studio hanna & seo

It’s no secret that the culture of tea came to us from the east. And if in the west of the whole procedure is reduced to a simple tea drink drink during lunch, meeting friends or reading newspapers, drinking tea in the east – is a whole ceremony, from the brewing and ending with the last drop of tea.

Designers Jeonghwa Seo et Hanna Chung have created a project Ripple effect tea table which, in their view, is presented the eastern mentality. The video below presented the work of this table. Every time someone puts a cup on the table, the water wheels appears on the table top. Particularly impressive it looks on the black top. The table is created with following materials: ash, earthen ware, pure water. Dimensions of this tea table are 120 cm x 50 cm x 35 cm. Perhaps with the practical view of the currents that is not what you want, but this Ripple effect tea table produces a tremendous impression, as an interesting project for the home.
