Villa BH by WHIM is a modern, spacious, full light private house which occupies 280m2 floor area in Burgh-Haamstede, the Netherlands. From the many glass houses Villa BH gives a sense of complete freedom. Besides it the large glass facade of 20m open the natural view from this glass wooden house.
All rooms of Villa situate around patio. Thus, private space conserved and there is adding additional lighting. As the facade of the patio totally from the glass the main bedroom has the wonderful view to the nature. The lifting roof is the one of the features of this modern house. According to the architect’s idea it allows to enjoy the view of tall trees, which gives the house a special section of patio, from different spaces at home.
Villa built with insulation in the facade of 30cm. The roof is also extra insulated and covered with sedum, which allows regulating the distribution of raindrops on the surface. For an additional source of electricity on the flat parts of roof 20 solar panels established. Heat pump regulates the temperature inside the wooden house depending on the weather outside the house. But in the living room and TV room also have fireplaces. [WHIM]
