Mountain houses by Johnstone Architects

mountain house schell-weeler by johnston architects

These houses are built for mountain guides, Scott Schell and Margaret Wheeler by Jonstone Architects PLLC in the foothills of Snoqualmie. Front view of the mountain buildings with sloping roofs represent the combinations of glass and wood, painted in green and gray colors. Appearance perfect harmony with the forest mountain nature. Thus, in the woods everybody can feel yourself like at home. Huge glass walls-windows provide the maximum amount of penetration of daylight into the rooms of these residences. And in the evenings house illuminates the nature, surrounding the house. Solar water heating provides the extra energy of the mountain house. Interior of the house is a convenience and optimal space. The wooden interior only emphasizes harmony with nature. More information can be found on the Jonstone Architects site.
